Bereavement Counselling Services in Manchester
Why counselling for bereavement is a must for grieving families
As a counsellor, I have had several years experience in bereavement related issues. One of my previous positions was at A Beautiful Funeral. For nearly four and a half years there, I was a Civil Funeral Celebrant and Bereavement Counsellor. From my experience, its role cannot be underestimated.
What can City Centre Therapy do?
If you have lost someone, we can support you and your family. We can also offer you pre-bereavement care and help you to articulate your feelings.
Naturally, you will face shock and numbness. You may be tired or exhausted, or be angry towards the person who has died. You may have feelings of regret and guilt. There are four stages of bereavement and these are:
- Acceptance of the fact your loss is real;
- Experiencing the pain of your grief;
- Adjustment to life without the loss of your loved one; and,
- Applying less emotional energy, enabling you to channel your energies towards something new. In other words, moving on.
With Bod Cantwell’s experience, he will make sure you are supported through transition with confidence and compassion.
